Sarah Ferguson has been humiliated again - it just keeps getting worse

The Epstein Files have been as kind to Sarah Ferguson as King Herod was to first-borns - her shameless, grasping self has been well and truly exposed. We all knew when Fergie first appeared with the-then Prince Andrew that this grinning redhead was not a polished, perfect human being - but her rough edges and "jolly hockey sticks" persona endeared us to her.

But since their 1986 Westminster Abbey wedding it's been downhill for both, with their links to convicted US pervert Jeffrey Epstein speeding that into free-fall. Now the latest shocking Epstein Files emails merely sum up Fergie's chief fatal flaws: excessive greed and entitlement that blinds her to all boundaries of common decency.

Her decision to jet with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie to New York to meet vile Epstein in 2009, just days after his release from prison for procuring a 14-year-old girl for prostitution, is frankly bonkers.

Documents suggest she had her office contact Epstein asking him to 'graciously' fund the trip within hours of his release from prison for child sex abuse.

But messages newly released by the US Department of Justice reveal if she was going to have lunch with a paedophile she was going to damn well do it in style.

Emails show the convicted sex offender's staff were instructed to ignore Fergie's repeated requests that her already luxurious business class seat be upgraded to first class.

Fergie, on the verge of bankruptcy at the time, even pushed for her daughters to be bumped up from economy to club class for the visit.

A series of emails show staff scrambling to meet Fergie's requests, including securing the most expensive flight option via British Airways for which she provided her BA frequent flyer number.

It started when her staff appeared to have called Epstein's house manager Lesley Groff suggesting he pay for her flights to the US to meet him.

In one email headed 'The Duchess of York', Ms Groff wrote to Epstein: "Amanda from the Duchess' office just called. She said that you graciously offered to pay for the Duchess to come and visit you. Amanda would like to speak to (redacted) about flights."

The following morning, Ms Groff updated Epstein again: "Amanda said the princesses would like to accompany the Duchess and she is wondering if you might be willing to pay for them as well…"

After Epstein obliged with a simple 'ok', Ms Groff sorted the trip as Fergie demanded a three-day break in New York and flights with "crazy high price tags".

Epstein told staff to book Fergie on business while Eugenie and Beatrice, 19 and 21 at the time, should use economy or premium economy.

Fergie was demanding first class for herself and business for the princesses costing over $30,000 - eventually Epstein agreed to BA flights costing $14,080.10.

But just hours before their return flight from New York to London, Ms Groff informed Epstein that Fergie had made fresh demands: to be upgraded from business class.

Even vile Epstein had clearly had it up to here with her greed, as he told his assistant: "Do not respond."

Afterwards Fergie sent Epstein a fawning email thanking him for his friendship - don't forget this is a self-confessed paedophile - telling him: "Thank you Jeffrey for being the brother I have always wished for."

The greed, the grasping, the repeated requests for even more lavish freebies - does anything more adequately sum up a lifetime of entitlement, lavish spending and excessive debt?

Do we have any sympathy? No.

Fergie not only danced with the devil, she asked him for an upgrade to first-class on her rapid descent into ignominy.
