Prince George has picked up a new difficult hobby that he enjoys doing at school.

While it was revealed a few weeks ago that the young prince, 11, loves swimming and scuba diving, it appears these sports aren’t the only hobbies George has.

At a recent investiture at Windsor Castle, Prince William was presenting athlete Non Stanford with an MBE for her services to the sport when he admitted that George had recently started getting stuck into triathlons at school.

The Mirror reported that Stanford, who in 2013 won the women's triathlon title, said: "He was telling me how George has been doing triathlon at school.

“There is also a gentleman who now works for William, has done a bit of triathlon, and has been giving George advice about putting talcum powder in his shoes. George has been sharing his talc with his classmates and they are all excited about these tips.

“[William] also asked about the future of triathlon and the talent that is coming through, so we had a very nice chat.”

George - who is second in line to the throne - is believed to have developed his love of sport from both his parents, who are known to become quite competitive.

While he may be an active child, Prince William has previously admitted that George, like most other soon-to-be-teenagers, also enjoys video games.

During a visit to the BAFTA headquarters in 2022, William admitted that George is seriously into the games, with him and Kate having to carefully try to "regulate" how much screen time their kids get.

On a visit to London on Wednesday, the future King again mentioned how his children enjoy watching TV, with the three often “wrestling” over the remote.

This comes after the prince, 42, announced at a royal engagement last week that the family were also glued to the TV during the Paris Olympics and watched the whole thing.

The prince did not attend in person with his children as he was afraid of bringing Covid-19 back home to Princess Kate, who was undergoing chemotherapy at the time.
