It is claimed Prince Harry, 40, and his wife, Meghan Markle, 43, will focus on a "new strategy" following the success of the Duke of Sussex's recent solo engagements in New York, the UK, and Africa.

A well-placed source told Express.co.uk the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will sit down with their US-based team to thrash out a new plan.

They said: "The success of Harry’s solo endeavours has shown that a new strategy might be needed."

The source added: "Harry is due back in California this week, and a debrief is expected following his travels. There’s a lot to discuss so the team has been summoned for a meeting toward the end of the week."

Prince Harry is set to return to his multi-million mansion in Montecito, California to be reunited with his wife and two children, Prince Archie, five, and Princess Lilibet, three.

Prince Harry, who turned 40 last month, visited South Africa to work on his charity, Sentebale, which he co-founded with Prince Seeiso of Lesotho.

Business leaders, philanthropists and local stakeholders gathered in Lesotho with the aim of driving forward the work of the charity. Harry co-founded Sentebale, which means "forget me not", in 2006, to honour his mother Princess Diana and help disadvantaged children.

Harry also headed to Johannesburg over the weekend which was followed by a rumoured trip to Cape Town for "private time" with family and friends.

Before his trip to South Africa, the Duke embarked on a solo trip to London to attend this year's WellChild awards. During his brief visit to the UK, Harry did not see either his father, King Charles or his brother, Prince William.

The Duke's UK visit was preceded by another solo trip to New York City three weeks ago.
