Prince Edward tipped as Royal favourite in documentary - ‘Apple of Queen's eye'
PRINCE EDWARD is described as the apple of the Queen's eye" in a documentary about the royal, with Prince Philip also said to be "particularly" keen of his youngest son.

Edward, 57, is the youngest of the Queen and Philip’s children, and is said to have “built a strong relationship” with his parents. Journalist Ayesha Hazarika appeared on the Channel 5 documentary 'Edward & Sophie: The Reluctant Royals?’ and explained how Edward is the “baby” of the Queen’s four children.
Ms Hazarika, along with other experts, suggested Edward enjoyed a close relationship with his parents.
She said: "I think it's fair to say that he was very the baby of the family.
"He really was the apple of the Queen's eye."
Narrator Glynis Barber added: "Prince Philip also built a strong relationship with his youngest son."

Speaking on the 2020 documentary, more experts suggested Edward was a “particular favourite” of the Queen and Philip.
Richard Kay, royal author, added: "Edward was a particular favourite of his father, the Duke of Edinburgh.
"There was a strong bond between father and son right from the get go."
Royal expert Ingrid Seward said: "He was the first of the four children that Prince Philip was actually there at the bedside during the birth.
"The world had moved on and he was more of a modern father."
Sophie, the Countess of Wessex, is also a favourite of the Queen, according to the Daily Mail.
A royal aide told the outlet: “She is trusted and relied on by the Queen in a way I couldn't say applied to the Duchess of Cambridge or the Duchess of Cornwall.
"She is like another daughter to Her Majesty, they are that close."
Royal expert Ingrid Seward wrote in her book ‘My Husband and I: The Inside Story Of 70 Years Of Royal Marriage’ the Queen read magazines about the role of fathers in childbirth.
Ms Seward said Philip “was actually holding his wife's hand as their youngest was born on March 10, 1964”, and was the first modern royal father to do so.
Robert Lacey, expert, also said in his biography of the Queen she was able to spend a lot more time with her "new children," Edward and Prince Andrew, than she'd been able to with both Prince Charles and Princess Anne.
