Angela Merkel 'FURIOUS' at Juncker leaks that could KILL Brexit talks and destroy EU
ANGELA Merkel is “furious” following leaks from a Brexit meeting between Theresa May and Jean-Claude Juncker, reports claim.

The German Chancellor is worried such leaks could deepen animosity between the negotiating parties and even topple the Prime Minister.
A German source told The Times: “Angela Merkel is furious at these reports.
“It is known that she has lost patience with the British Conservatives but the last thing she wants is for Theresa May to be replaced in the middle of the Brexit negotiations.”
Ms Merkel’s reaction follows a report in a German newspaper claiming Mrs May “beg” Mr Juncker for help with the Brexit deal.
The leak claimed Mrs May looked “despondent” and had dark rings under eyes when she dined with Mr Juncker last week.
The Prime Minister looked “anxious, despondent and disheartened” during dinner the paper claimed.

Mr Juncker denied the leak saying: “Nothing is true in all of this.
“She was in good shape, she was not tired, she was fighting as is her duty so everything for me was Ok.”
When asked whether Mrs May had begged for progress he replied: “No, that’s not the style of British prime ministers.”

Following her recent election victory, which saw her party lose ground to the far-Right AfD, Merkel is said to be extremely concerned about the potential of talks collapsing.
If talks collapse without a deal being reach EU economies would be set to lose out on billions in trade and in a so-called divorce bill.
The news comes after Mrs May told Parliament the UK is "within touching distance" of a Brexit deal with Brussels.
The PM said Brexit negotiations with Brussels had been “constructive” and said she is “ambitious and positive” about the UK’s future once talks end.

She said her first priority was the rights of EU citizens in the UK and the rights of UK citizens living in the EU.
Mrs May said of EU citizens living in Britain: “We want them to stay.”
Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn hit out at the PM after her speech, warning her her real enemy was within the Tory party and not Brussels.
He claimed he was reminded of "Groundhog Day" after hearing Mrs May’s comments, claiming he had heard all her promises and arranges before.
