A SENIOR Tory has rejected rumours that Theresa May was in floods of tears after the poor election result, saying: "She's fine. She's getting on with the job."

Reports have emerged that the Prime Minister wept at the news that her majority had been wiped out in Thursday's snap election, losing her composure before she went to meet the Queen.
However, Brexit Secretary David Davis defended his party leader, describing her as "a formidably good Prime Minister" who was getting on with her job.
Asked how Mrs May was coping, he told ITV's Good Morning Britain: "She's fine. She's getting on with the job.
Interviewer Piers Morgan interjected, saying: "Why would she be fine?
She's fine. She's getting on with the job
"Seriously, I heard she was in floods of tears before she went to see the Queen, in floods of tears when she got back from seeing the Queen.
"We've got a Prime Minister who's sobbing away because it's been a complete disaster. How could she be fine?"

Mr Davis replied: "Not when I saw her.
"Look - for 10 months I've worked with this Prime Minister, she's a formidably good Prime Minister, she's formidably good at making decisions."
