Nigel Farage's pals fight back against Elon Musk and brand billionaire a 'f***ing moron'
The Reform leader's former chief-of-staff has hit out at the tech-tycoon after calling for Farage to be replaced in the latest social media spat.
Nigel Farage’s former chief-of-staff has labelled Elon Musk as a "f***ing moron" on the social media platform X.
The scathing response comes after billionaire Mr Musk said: “The Reform Party needs a new leader. Farage doesn’t have what it takes.”
Mr Musk, who is also the owner of social media platform X, issued his statement yesterday following a string of posts attacking major political figures due to Labour blocking a national public inquiry into the grooming scandal.
However, Reform members quickly came to Mr Farage’s side in support, with Raheem Kassam sharing the post: “You're a f****** moron."
Mr Kassam has also said since Mr Musk’s statement that “one can (and should) believe that Farage is the electoral future”.
The statement by the Tesla boss came as a surprise to many after the Reform UK leader and Mr Musk met less than three weeks ago in the president elect’s Mar-a-lago estate.
Rumours then swirled that the billionaire was poised to donate as much as $100million (£79million) to the party.
However, the post follows Mr Farage distancing his party from Tommy Robinson, the jailed activist. He said: “My view remains that Tommy Robinson is not right for Reform and I never sell out my principles.”
Reform MPs were also quick to back Mr Farage with Lee Anderson writing: “I would not be here without Nigel.
"And Nigel is right. Over the next four years, Reform UK led by Nigel is going to fight for the heart and soul of our beautiful country.”

The Tesla boss also appeared to divert his support to Reform MP for Great Yarmouth, Rupert Low.
Replying to a tweet suggesting Mr Lowe takes over, Mr Musk wrote: “I have not met Rupert Lowe, but his statements online that I have read so far make a lot of sense.”
Responding to this, Mr Lowe has also shown support of the leader, saying: “Nigel is leader of Reform.
"He made Brexit happen, and for that I will always be grateful."
He added: "I look forward to working with Nigel and the entire team to continue to hold this incompetent Labour Party to account, democratise our own party, win the next election and form a Reform Government.”
