Andrew Neil questions security risk following Hancock photo leak
Following leaked CCTV footage of Matt Hancock breaking social distancing rules with aide Gina Coladangelo inside his Whitehall office, GB News' chairman Andrew Neil warned the fact video was leaked is a much bigger story than Mr Hancock's private life. Mr Neil issued grave warnings about the national security of the United Kingdom and launched a tidal wave of questions over how the footage was leaked and who had access to it. Mr Neil explained how the dramatic leaked footage raised fresh concerns over the access international actors such as Russia and China could have to the heart of the British Government.
Andrew Neil said: “It is not a potential security concern, there is a real security concern.
“How did this camera get there, who accessed it? Who got to see it? “It looks as if the footage that we have seen was shot on an iPhone or something else. It is not the original footage.
“How was this made available, how could people get to it?
“This is in a Cabinet [minister’s] main private office. This is an incredible security breach."

He went on to speculate: "What if it was the Ministry of Defence, what if it was the Foreign Office? What if it's the Treasury!
“This is a huge, huge problem for the intelligence services, don’t they sweep these things? Don’t they keep an eye on them? Don’t they keep an eye on CCTV?
“We have not heard the end of this by any means.
“This is a major security breach at the heart of British government… this will become the story."

“They need to get to the heart of it, they need to make sure that this isn’t common in Whitehall.
"And that the Russian’s or the Chinese or the Americans aren’t regularly listening into everything the British government is doing.”
Andrew Neil's comments come as it was revealed that Matt Hancock has had an affair with one of his senior aides.
CCTV pictures emerged in The Sun newspaper on Friday showing Mr Hancock embracing aide Gina Coladangelo in his Whitehall Office on May 6 - at the time it was illegal to hug or be physically intimate with people outside of your own household.

As a result, Matt Hancock resigned as Health Secretary on Saturday following the humiliating leak from the heart of Whitehall.
But on Sunday it was revealed by the Sunday Times newspaper that the footage of Hancock and Coladangelo was captured from a camera that had been placed inside a smoke detector in Mr Hancock's office.
The news has prompted a massive crackdown by the government's security advisors who are fearful that foreign governments could obtain information from private meetings if such cameras are present inside Whitehall.
Following Mr Hancock's resignation that has rocked Britain, former Chancellor Sajid Javid has been chosen as the new Health Secretary.
