PMQs: Boris Johnson says Starmer ‘voted against’ document
Sir Keir Starmer quizzed Boris Johnson regarding why the UK Government had not implemented its pledge of a 2.1 percent pay rise for NHS workers. However, the Conservative Party leader labelled Sir Keir's question an "absurdity" and stated that the Labour MP voted against the proposal at the time.
Sir Keir said: "You promised the NHS, here in black and white, his document commits to a minimum pay rise of 2.1 percent.
"It has been budgeted for and now it has been taken away.
"He shakes his head, his MPs voted for it, so why after everything the NHS has done for us, is he breaking promise after promise?"
Mr Johnson replied: "Mr Speaker, he voted against the document in question, which crowns the absurdity of his point.
