Fuming BBC QT host Fiona Bruce breaks up humiliating Remainer clash between Labour and SNP
BBC QUESTION TIME’s host Fiona Bruce was forced to intervene last night after the SNP’s Humza Yousaf and Labour’s Barry Gardiner clashed in a humiliating showdown.
Question Time: Gardiner and Yousaf clash over Scotland
Host Fiona Bruce introduced the show and managed to tame many outbursts between the SNP, Labour and the Tories. The main topic of the evening was Scottish independence with Justice Secretary for the SNP Humza Yousaf and Scottish journalist and broadcaster Angela Haggerty on the panel.
Ms Bruce was also joined by Labour Shadow International Trade Secretary Barry Gardiner, Tory MP Kirstene Hair and businessman Iain Anderson.
Mr Gardiner and Mr Yousaf clashed over Scottish independence.
The Labour MP said “we’re stronger as a family together”.
He continued: “Just as England, Scotland and the rest of the United Kingdom are stronger as a family together.
“I will do everything I can to uphold the union that we have.
“But I’ll do it with respect.”
Mr Gardiner then went on to shamelessly plug his party by employing Scots to vote for Labour if they “care about the union in England, in Wales and in the rest of the country”.
The Labour MP then went on to say that Mr Yousaf was talking about constitutional politics because it is a “huge distraction” from everyday politics.

Mr Yousaf then began boasting about how his party had been “elected for three terms”.
The SEP pointed at his chest and said the SNP has “historically elected for three terms”.
Mr Gardiner then began listing off the issues with Mr Yousaf’s budget.
Ms Bruce was then forced to intervene.

She said: “Let’s not have a very long list Barry.”
Mr Yousaf then took the opportunity to try and interrupt the Labour MP and Ms Bruce.
The two Remainers then began arguing unintelligibly leading to the host’s intervention.
She said: “Hang on!
“The question though!
“Just to be old-fashioned and get back to it.”
Ms Bruce threw her hands up in the air when she decided to stop the showdown.
