Warm and colourful weather... but spring’s not here yet
A DASH of colour in the natural world yesterday helped to lift spirits after recent plunging temperatures.

In Portsmouth, crowds of yellow crocuses opened up to the sun, a hopeful sign that spring is finally on the way.
A vivid rainbow cut through the gloomy skies at Malmesbury, Wilts – before disappearing a minute later.
Patchy rain is likely across Britain today but temperatures will rise tomorrow and parts of the country, particularly in the South, can expect sunny spells and more settled conditions.

I’m afraid it’s not spring yet
But Met Office forecaster Chris Page denied the good weather indicates a change in the seasons.
He said: “The weekend is looking unsettled.
"I’m afraid it’s not spring yet.”
