Home Bargains faces backlash as shoppers say 'no' to £5 item
People have been divided by Home Bargains' newest 'spooky' cushion for Halloween, which you can only buy online, for £5
Home Bargains has been hit with backlash from some shoppers over a recent Instagram post. The budget retailer is known for selling a huge range of items - from homeware and toiletries to DIY tools and food.
However, one of its latest products has left many divided on social media. Despite it being July, with October still several weeks away, the bargain superstore uploaded a Halloween-themed picture.
In the image, Home Bargains showed off its Gary the Ghost cushion, back for 2024. It comes as many fans are calling for Gary to return to shelves for this Halloween after proving a big hit in previous years.
The 'cute' ghost cushion is made from 100% polyester and this year, Gary is holding a tiny pumpkin. On the Home Bargains website, a description of the updated cushion reads: "Back with a BOO! for the 2024 Haunting season, Gary the Ghost has squashed rumours that he wouldn't return.
"A perfect seasonal companion for any room in your Haunted House, this year he has chosen to pose with a pumpkin." In the caption on Instagram, the store added: "Guess whooOOoo's back. Haunting online only. £4.99."
