TREATMENTS TESTED
Elemis Deep Tissue Full Body Massage, 60 minutes, £55
One of the best massages I have ever had. My therapist Bianca was excellent. With her advice I chose the de-stress oil and decided on a firm massage.
She hit all the right spots. The hour flew by and I felt exhilarated afterwards. It was first class. Elemis Advanced Anti-Ageing Facial, 75 minutes, £60
This firms, rejuvenates and plumps up the skin. My skin was cleansed and toned before a cold mask was applied.
A warm lime-scented towel was used to remove the mask. Next came a moisturiser, exfoliator, another warm mask and more moisturiser.
The aromas were divine and I was so relaxed I drifted in and out of sleep. Excellent.
GOOD POINTS
The spa is the centre of a magnificent five-star resort with 26 cottages (16 of which are cosy converted 12th century buildings) on the beautiful Pembrokeshire coastal path.
It has breathtaking views across manicured lawns to the island of Caldey. Guests are asked to leave their vehicles in car parks adjoining the resort which gives the place an unspoilt feel. Waves, the resort restaurant, serves up
the very best local meat and fish and a delicious Sunday roast.
BAD POINTS
I searched but could find nothing of any importance. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and everything was of a very high standard.
COST
One night stay with dinner, a 55 minute massage, 55 minute facial and manicure costs £195.
