Xbox 720 Blu-ray drive and new controller hinted at in leaked Durango document
MICROSOFT'S successor to the Xbox 360 may feature a Blu-ray drive, a new controller and is always online, according to leaked developer documents.
The console, which is rumoured to be announced this year, will allegedly feature a new and improved Kinect motion sensor bundled with it.
The features were hinted at in documents that have reportedly been obtained from the developer kit for the console codenamed Durango.
According to VGleaks who sourced the document, the Xbox 720 will also need games installed to the hard drive and won't need the disc to play.
It is suggested that this move will help Bill Gates's company beef up it's protection against videogame piracy for the next generation.
Microsoft are the only major leading player in the video game console industry who have yet to announce their next piece of hardware.
Nintendo released their successor to the Wii, the Wii U, last year and Sony announced their new console the Playstation 4 in February this year.
