Ring Doorbell users offered cheap upgrade but only for a limited time
Secure your home for less with these popular gadgets.

If you have a Ring Doorbell or have been thinking of buying into the popular home security system’s range, now could well be the time. Amazon has heavily discounted many Ring products including the famous bell, with the majority of the newest products discounted.
All the offers are listed as “limited time deals”, which is Amazon’s way of suggesting these prices won’t last long, though it’s unclear when the sale will end.
Chief amongst the discounts is Ring’s Wired Video Doorbell, the cheapest way to upgrade your current not-smart doorbell. As the name suggests, this gadget is hardwired into your existing doorbell line to add 2K video tech to your front porch - all for just £39.99, down from £59.99.

The doorbell has improved cameras and better low-light performance, claiming you’ll be able to see more at night. That’s because the video recording kick in not only when someone presses the bell, but also when motion is detected.
This can be especially handy when you are out - you’ll get a notification to your phone via the iPhone or Android app letting you know something or someone is there, giving you peace of mind that nothing is up.
You can also talk to anyone at the door when you’re not in thanks to the two way chat enabled by the mic and speaker.
If you don’t want to wire a Ring doorbell in, no worries: the Ring Battery Video Doorbell Plus is on sale for £99.99, down from £149.99. This is very easy to install, you just have to unclip it every now and then to take it inside to charge. It offers 2K resolution, 6x zoom plus Head-To-Toe video so you can see a full picture of what’s going on out there.

Adaptive Night Vision can also boost colours in the dark to see better no matter the time of day.
If you need outdoor security but not at the door, Ring’s Outdoor Camera Battery is on sale for a great £49.99, down from £79.99. Like the previous doorbell it’s battery powered and rechargeable, and even has the two-way talk feature so you can natter away to someone on your driveway, as long as they’re within earshot. Amazon, which owns Ring, bills this particular camera as an "alternative to CCTV system” - both to capture footage outside your house as well as to act as a deterrent.
