YouTube DOWN: Video streaming site NOT WORKING as content fails to load
YOUTUBE is currently down and not working as the site is failing to load content for users.
UPDATE ONE: As of 11am, YouTube videos are back to working as usual.
It is unknown why playback issues occurred on the site momentarily.
ORIGINAL STORY: YouTube is the world's largest video search engine and is used by millions of people across the globe.
But this morning it appears the site is suffering from a playback issue.
When attempting to watch a video a message reading "this video does not exist" is displayed.
It adds: "Sorry about that."
No other explanation is given for the playback error.
A number of YouTube bingers have taken to Twitter to express their frustration at the problem.
One said: "OMG another YouTube DOWN."
Another wrote: "YouTube I was zapping videos, and all of a sudden BAM, every video I click on 'doesn't exist'.
"I cleared my cache, restarted my browser and everything. Nope. Please, what is going on?"
However, one user insisted the mobile application was working as normal.
Independent outage monitor Down Detector registered over 400 reports at one time from YouTube fans insisting the site was not working properly.
