Amazon slashes more than £200 off Shark vacuum cleaner that 'beats Dyson'
Amazon has slashed the price of one of Shark's vacuum cleaners by over £200, offering a significant discount on the brand's cordless Stratos Anti Hair Wrap Plus. The price has plummeted from £399.99 to just £191.14, a saving of £208.85 or 52%, making it cheaper than Shark's own price tag of £192.
However, shoppers need to be quick as this deal is set to expire on January 23.
Shark promotes the Stratos as having the brand's "best ever hair pick-up" capability, effective on both carpet and hard floors. This feature is complemented by Shark's signature 'Anti-Hair Wrap Plus' technology, which claims to remove both short and long hair from the brush-roll during cleaning, making it an ideal choice for pet owners.
The vacuum also includes the Clean Sense IQ function, which detects hard-to-see dirt and automatically adjusts the cleaning power for up to 50% more dirt pick-up, according to Shark. Additionally, LED headlights in the brush head help to highlight fine dust and debris.
The Shark Stratos features a 'Flexology' wand for easy cleaning under furniture and compact storage, and can be quickly converted into a handheld vacuum. Its detachable battery offers up to 60 minutes of continuous runtime, depending on the power setting, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Buyers will also receive several accessories, including an anti-allergen brush, crevice tool and multi-surface tool.
One pleased customer shared, "Really light, good value, good battery life. Really pleased with this. It beats my Dyson." While someone else penned, "Not quite as light weight as hoped, when in use, but no complaints about suction power. And it picks up from the sides along skirting that my Dyson never did."
It weighs just over 5kg and this was mentioned a few times by shopper who said it wasn't as lightweight as they had hoped. They wrote, "The carpet cleaning is highly effective, but using the machine on stairs can be challenging. The unit's base is quite heavy, and care must be taken when maneuvering it to avoid causing damage. On a positive note, the deodoriser is a smart feature, as it adds a pleasant fragrance to the room."
