The street that's one of UK's most expensive but only one half lives in luxury
Hollybush Road in Cyncoed, one of Cardiff's most affluent suburbs, has been named Wales' most expensive street with average house prices standing at over £1.4million.

Wales boasts a number of prestigious streets and noteworthy roads that are considered some of the most sought-after, and consequently the most expensive, places to live in the UK. These prime locations offer either a desirable city address, panoramic sea views, or extensive land, all factors contributing to property prices surpassing £1million.
In collaboration with The Times, online property portal Rightmove has compiled a list of the priciest streets across Britain, using data from the Land Registry. The Times specifies that for a street to be classified as the most expensive in any region, it must have at least five properties listed for sale when the list was compiled. This requirement is designed to exclude areas that are dormant in the property market or may lack a substantial number of residential properties.

Hollybush Road in Cyncoed, one of Cardiff's wealthiest and most exclusive suburbs, has been revealed as the costliest road in Wales. According to Rightmove, the average house price on this street currently stands at £1,434,790.
Tucked away in the verdant suburb of Cyncoed, Hollybush Road is a lengthy, meandering avenue lined with trees and dotted with sizeable, predominantly period, detached homes concealed behind towering hedges and electric gates. However, this road also caters to those with more modest budgets than the £1million mark, thanks to a mini roundabout that effectively divides it into two sections.
On one side of the roundabout, you'll find grand, attractive residences with price tags reaching £1m - and the other portion of the road, considered part of the Pentwyn suburb, offers more reasonably priced semi-detached properties.

Hollybush Road is conveniently situated within walking distance of Roath's vibrant shopping and social hubs, falls within the catchment area for some of Cardiff's top schools, and provides easy commuting access to both the city centre and the M4.
A key factor driving up property prices in Cyncoed is its good reputation coupled with its diverse array of dream homes, spanning from period to modern designs.
