Returning to the Great British Bake Off tent in Welford Park in Berkshire, Alison Hammond will be presenting alongside co-host Noel Fielding.

For the next 10 weeks, Alison will be in the Royal County of Berkshire, but her commute home from work will be a diddle compared to her previous journey.

Having just sold her house in Solihull for a reported £700,000, Alison is said to have secured a £117,500 profit.

A source from Smart Homes told MailOnline: "[The house] nearly sold three times but never completed because of vendors' chains falling through.

"It has finally completed just shy of the new asking price of £700,000 and is now off the market. The celebrity owner is delighted."

While she has just given up the keys to her midlands property, Alison has already been living in her new home closer to London since March 2024.

The 49-year-old mum took to Instagram at the time to show off her new abode, which has a luscious green sprawling garden.

In the Instagram Story, Alison has a landscaped garden and patio that overlooks the English countryside.

Worded on the video, she wrote: "Feeling very emotional knowing that without all your support and love I wouldn't be looking at this view.

"This is my new garden I would draw as a child but never dreamed it would be a reality. Thank you."

While Alison has kept quiet on the exact location of her gorgeous home, properties in the commuter belt of London can surpass £10million.

One five-bedroom property in the heart of Beaconsfields Golden Triangle, for example, is listed on Rightmove for £8,450,000; another is listed for £10million.

The Great British Bake Off is on Tuesdays, 8pm on Chanel 4. All episodes will also be available on Channel 4's catch-up service, Channel4.com
