A TikTok cleaner has revealed the best time of day to clean your windows.

User cleaningwithdanielled showed how you can clean windows on new build homes. Instead of leaning out of the window it appeared there were easier options available with modern fittings, and a right time of day to clean them too.

Her TikTok post has since racked up thousands of likes as members of the public say her simple hack has had a life-changing impact on how they clean up their home.

Sliding the top and bottom latches of the window by pushing them in, the window can be fully opened and straightened out, moving it away from the hinge which prevents cleaning of the outer side.

But thanks to the hack highlighted by Danielle, homeowners can now extend their window to the left or right, depending on which they are cleaning. It means both sides of the window are easily accessible and ready to be cleaned.

She said: "This extends the window more open so it leaves a lovely big gap for you to fit your arm out of your upstairs windows. Just obviously be super, super careful when hanging out of the window. Once you're done just simply close the window and it'll lock back into place."

So when should you complete this household chore?

Further tips on the best time to clean your windows were revealed by Danielle, who says early in the morning or later in the day were ideal times for a clean.

She added: "Always clean your windows either super early in the morning or later in the day, or on a dull day. Basically when the sun isn't beaming on your house. The sun will dry the product onto your windows too quickly and this will leave them streaky."

People who tried this window cleaning hack have since commented on the post revealing their own successes. One wrote: "I didn't know, thank you so much for this."

Another user wrote: "THANK YOU. I was cleaning mine this morning, just moved in a month ago and forgot how you turn these in to clean them!" A third added: "I would try this in my window but there are too many spiders outside of my window."
