Summer weather has officially set in as the UK is scheduled for a baking week of above 30C temperatures.
British holidaymakers are preparing for their summer holidays and the next chance for a guilt-free day off isn’t too far away.
The next bank holiday will take place next month in August and workers will have the chance to dodge the Monday blues with a bank holiday.
The summer bank holiday officially takes place on Monday, August 27 this year.
Sadly, the upcoming holiday will be the last chance people get for a longer weekend before Christmas this year.
Scotland, on the other hand, will hold their own summer bank holiday on a separate date to the rest of the country.
The next bank holiday in Scotland will fall three-weeks earlier on Monday, August 6.
Northern Ireland will have the next bank holiday in the UK, celebrating the Battle of the Boyne on July 12.
The holiday sees the celebration of a Protestant majority in the country following the defeat of the Catholic monarchy led by James II in 1690.

With the next bank holiday a little ways off, summer revellers are looking for the next big event to look forward to.
Sports fans could be very conflicted, with the World Cup and Wimbledon finals falling on the same day of June 15, after Wimbledon begins on July 2.
The Henley Regatta will also take place this summer, falling from Wednesday, July 4 to Sunday, July 8.
