Donald Trump Jr and Vanessa Trump, both 40, have been married since 2005, but revealed this week their motion to file for divorce.
Donald Trump Jr is the eldest son of US President Donald Trump, 71, and he and Vanessa have five children together.
Ms Trump, a former model, filed for an uncontested divorce on Thursday afternoon.
An uncontested divorce means custody over the couple’s children and assets are not disputed during legal proceedings.

They then married in 2005 at Mar-a-Lago, the family’s club in Palm Beach, Florida.
Trump Jr played a prominent role in his father’s presidential election campaign, and now co-runs the family business with his brother Eric Trump.
In the last few weeks he has become the subject of an investigation over possible collusion between the presidential campaign and Russia in 2016.
President Trump has denied any collusion.

Earlier this week, Vanessa was rushed to hospital after opening a letter containing a white powder.
The contents of the substance is unknown, but the event sparked anthrax fears.
Mrs Trump opened the letter at her apartment in Manhattan at 10am local time on Monday.
The New York Police Department has since claimed the substance is not hazardous, and Donald Trump tweeted: “Thankful that Vanessa & my children are safe and unharmed after the incredibly scary situation that occurred this morning.
“Truly disgusting that certain individuals choose to express their opposing views with such disturbing behaviour.”
