Kate Middleton, 35, and Prince William, 35 announced the baby news on September 1, but the news came a little earlier than expected as the Duchess of Cambridge has been suffering from severe morning sickness.
Alongside speculation over the baby’s due date, name and sex, those lucky enough to meet with Prince William in the last few weeks have passed on their best wishes to the couple.
Some have even gone as far as to hand over gifts for the royal baby.
Prince William visited the Spitalfields Crypt Trust in London yesterday and and was handed three hand-carved wooden owls.

The owls - one each for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and the new baby - were made by students at the Restoration Station.

William is reported to have described the gift as “very nice” and thanked the people who helped make them.
The Spitalfield’s Crypt Trust’s Director of Services, Sheona Alexander, told Hello! Magazine: "We thought it would be nice to give three owls, so a, there was no fighting amongst the kids!

“She has been trying for another baby for months…she is suffering from nausea and morning sickness again, and she cannot stop eating spicy food and candy.”
According to an old wives’ tale craving for citrus fruits often leads to the mother giving birth to a girl.
But a craving for spicy food suggests that the newborn could be a boy.
