Amazing transformation: Bar owner sheds whopping 10 STONE by ditching booze and takeaways
A BAR owner who topped 23 stone by regularly downing more than 50 units of alcohol a DAY has undergone an incredible transformation - shedding ten stone after ditching booze and takeaways.
Bar owner Chris Allen ballooned to 23 stone before he devised his own diet plan
Chris Allen, 35, from Hastings, East Sussex, regularly organised lock ins at his bar with pals - and regularly downed more units of alcohol in a single night than the government recommended allowance for a month.
Combined with gorging on takeaways, he ballooned to 23 stone - but realised that his party animal lifestyle was slowly killing him.
After pledging to quit the calorific booze and midnight feasts, he devised his own diet plan - and has lost almost half of his own bodyweight.
He now has not had a drink since April last year and has lost an astonishing ten stone in 15 months.
Mr Allen, who now works in retail, said: "I started drinking in my teenage years but it wasn't until recent years that my alcohol intake became a problem.

Mr Allen has now lost almost half his body weight
"I was socialising with friends and I couldn't say no, I loved a drink when I was younger and owning a restaurant surrounded by alcohol only made me more tempted.
I didn't care about my body at all, I could easily eat 10,000 calories a day
"I would drink all night long, whisky was my favourite, I got to the point where I was so big that I could easily drink a bottle, maybe even two, in a day.
"I was so big that I could drink a huge amount of alcohol before I even felt the effects.
"I didn't care about my body at all, I could easily eat 10,000 calories a day, including takeaways and sugary foods such as doughnuts.

"But I started to develop early symptoms of diabetes I realised that enough was enough.
"A few years ago I visited a doctor after I injured my ankle due to being drunk, I turned to him and apologised for wasting his time, I realised alcohol had brought me there.
"I have now ditched my old partying habits, as well as the junk food, and I have lost ten stone."
Wanting to ditch his cravings, Mr Allen created his own diet - 'The Addiction Diet' - which involved regular fasting and removing sugars and carbs.
Over the next 15 months he stuck to it religiously in the hope of losing weight.
