Is a SEXLESS marriage healthy? Half of Brits not bothered by low sex drive
SEXLESS marriages can be down to health issues, low libido or people being too tired - but for one woman, her decision not to have sex with her husband is because “it doesn’t seem relevant anymore”.

This Morning carried out a poll on 200 people asking questions relating to sexless marriages.
The results revealed 26 per cent haven’t had sex for at least a month, one in eight have had no sex for a year, one in five over-50s have had no sex for a year, and almost one in ten are in a sexless relationship.
Additionally 59 per cent are happy without sex, 25 per cent would consider sex with another partner and one in 10 people had already had sex with someone else.
Sara Collins spoke to Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford on This Morning about her sexless marriage.

She said: “We sleep in separate rooms - we cuddle and kiss - but we have three children, we’ve been together 24 years, we did the whole intimacy thing in our twenties, and it doesn’t seem that relevant anymore.”
This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes questioned what her husband thought.
She replied: “I can’t speak for my husband, but he has the ultimate respect for me.
“If I don’t want to have sex he’s happy for me.”

The last time Sara remembers having sex was two years ago, and admits her husband does want to have sex.
She said: "When we first got together I couldn’t get enough sex - we’d have it four to five times a day - but it’s not that important to me now and I don’t miss it.”
Another guest on the show, Hilary Freeman, said couples that don’t have sex might as well be living with their best friend.
“For me, it would end a relationship,” said Hilary.

“A lack of sex shows a lack of communication going on.”
Eamonn and Ruth ask Sara of she was worried her husband might fall in love with someone else.
She said: “You never know who you’re going to meet and who you’re going to fall in love with.
“Just because you have children doesn’t mean you own him.”
