This Morning: Holly Willoughby shares Halloween prank idea
Halloween is on the way and already shops have laid out spooky displays, pumpkins are on sale and Marks and Spencer have brought back their Creepy Colin the Caterpillar cake for the occasion. For many, the sweet treats and scary films are what make Halloween great, but for others, it is the chance to dress up and don extravagant costumes. If you need some inspiration this Halloween, here are the five most popular Halloween outfit ideas this year.
The Joker
Joaquin Phoenix has breathed new life into the Batman villain, delving deep into the descending madness behind the Joker.
Nearing $600 million (£450m) at the box office, Joker has proved a smash hit with fans.
So it’s no wonder dressing up as Joaquin’s cackling villain is a popular choice this Halloween.
In Joker, Joaquin’s character wears a red suit with an orange waistcoat and green shirt.
His hair is green, and his face painted with traditional clown make-up.

Pennywise
IT Chapter 2 is in cinemas, and its terrifyingly creepy central character Pennywise the clown is another popular choice this Halloween.
White and red faceprint is a must for this character’s iconic look, as well as a ginger wig.
The costume from It Chapter 2 is a silvery colour, with white ruffled collar and sleeves and red pom pom buttons.

Harley Quinn
With the upcoming film Birds of Prey, Harley Quinn is another comic book character who has captured the attention of fans.
Her iconic look from Suicide Squad features red and blue shorts, red and blue jacket, and red baseball tee-shirt which reads: “Daddy’s Lil Monster”.
Her blonde hair is in ponytails, one dip-dyed pink and the other blue.
There are several different iterations of Harley Quinn’s look, including a more traditional nod to the comic book character.

Wonder Woman
Another comic book favourite, Wonder Woman 1984 - the second Wonder Woman film - is due to be released on June 2020.
The red, blue and gold costume is an iconic one - sticking close to how the Amazonian looks in the comics.
Black hair or a wig with the gold tiara bearing a red star completes the look.

Last-minute Halloween costume ideas
You can easily recreate the iconic Men In Black look with suits, ties, sunglasses - and,if you have one, a pug.
Or why not be a bat this year - all you have to do is upcycle an old black umbrella by cutting it in half and using black safety pins or hot glue to attach it to the arms of a black hoodie.
If you fancy being a skeleton this year, all you need is a white t-shirt. Cut out sections to create a ribcage illusion, and simply add some face paint.
