Ivanka Trump news: Advisor takes to Instagram after Donald Trump defends THOSE emails
IVANKA TRUMP has taken to Instagram after she made headlines earlier this week, as it was revealed she had used a personal email account for White House business in the past. Yesterday, the advisor to the US President’s father, Donald Trump, addressed the issue.

Ivanka Trump used her personal email account while discussing or relaying official White House business last year, a Washington Post investigation has uncovered.
According to watchdog group American Oversight, the 37-year-old, who works as an advisor to the US President, Donald Trump, used the account when emailing Cabinet officials, White House aides, and assistants.
However, the Presidential Records Act requires that all officials who work in the White House have their communications and records preserved.
On Tuesday, Donald, Ivanka’s father and the US President, addressed the news.
Ivanka did some emails
It came while the President spoke to reporters on the South Lawn at the White House, Washington DC.
Clearing up the matter, the 72-year-old confirmed that the advisor had used her personal email address during 2017.
“Just so you understand, early and for a little period of time, Ivanka did some emails,” he said.
Donald went on to address how Hillary Clinton, 71, who stood for presidential election in 2008 and 2016, had also used a private email server while in office as Secretary of State.
It was later found that out of 30,000 out of the emails, three contained classified information - although they lacked classified headers.
Following their investigation, FBI director James Comey said that while Hillary and her colleagues were”extremely careless in their handling of very sensitive, highly classified information,” they recommended to the Justice Department that “no charges are appropriate in this case”.
During the 2016 election, Donald publicly criticised the issue, with many of his supporters going on to chant “Lock her up” at campaign rallies.
Speaking yesterday, the President continued: “They weren't classified like Hillary Clinton.
“They weren't deleted like Hillary Clinton."
Referring to his daughter, he added: ”She wasn't doing that to hide her emails."
Earlier today, Ivanka took to Instagram to share a post in view of her 4.6 million followers.
Posting on her Instagram story, the mother-of-three uploaded a photo of the sun setting above some clouds - suggesting she had recently been travelling by aeroplane.
The American businesswoman left the stunning capture without a caption.
The First Lady, who is a former model, has become something of a style icon, and stepped out in an attention-commanding geometric coat.
According to InStyle.com, the garment is by Dior, from the pre-fall 2018 collection.
