What to do in the garden this week: plant bulbs, cover with wire and protect from rodents
Plant and protect you spring bulbs this week by covering them with wire.
TAKE precautions against rodents looking for food and shelter in outbuildings and compost heaps. In rural areas, they can be a particular nuisance after farmers’ fields have been harvested.
There’s still time to plant tulip and hyacinth bulbs. They are a good choice for tubs and window boxes.
Cover newly planted spring bulbs with small- mesh wire netting if squirrels are a problem.
