Alan Titchmarsh's guide to the garden this week: Lay paving and build greenhouses
MAKE the most of mild, dry spells by starting construction projects that involve concrete, such as laying paving, building arches or a greenhouse.
Make a new pond; dig a saucer-shaped hole, line with pond underlay and a butyl liner. Allow it to fill with rain rather than using chlorinated tap water.
Redefine collapsed lawn edges. Use a spade facing round the wrong way or an edging spade, and flick soil back up to leave a sharp edge.
