Gardeners can achieve the 'greenest and lushest of lawns' if 5 steps are followed now
How do we achieve a lush green lawn? This is the question I get asked all of the time by followers and readers, and I take great pleasure in answering.

I can say with a bit of effort, now you can achieve the greenest and lushest of lawns. The steps to achieve a lush lawn are suitable for lawns of all shapes and sizes.
The steps involve aeration, scarification, repairing patches, overseeding and feeding the lawn. If the lawn has been neglected, the steps are best done in this order. If the lawn has had upkeep, then you can pick and choose what steps are required to achieve a lush lawn.

Tom Strowlger shares how to achieve a lush green lawn
If a lawn is very weedy, a weed and feed treatment will clear it of weeds before you start the process of repairing it.
The reduction in weeds can leave gaps that, in turn, need to be repaired with a sprinkle of grass seed and a quilt of lawn dressing or topsoil.
The pursuit of a lush lawn is ideally commenced in March, April and May as the weeks and months ahead are warm and offer lots of light to assist in the germination process.

If the days are dry and lacking in rain, then we may need to water the lawn to keep the seeds moist whilst they germinate, grow and establish.
