Air fryer pancakes with a savoury twist have a 'perfect texture every time'- recipe
An air fryer may be the last thing you'd think to cook pancakes in but with the right recipe, it's absolutely possible.
Savoury pancakes aren't limited to thin crepes filled with cream cheese and chives when there are so many more exciting recipes out there.
One of which is this spicy kimchi Korean-inspired take on crepes which are unique in their flavour, and in the way that they're cooked.

Ingredients
Serves two:
- Three spring onions, chopped
- 200g kimchi
- One teaspoon of honey
- Three tablespoons of water
- Six tablespoons of all-purpose flour
- One garlic clove
- One tablespoon of soy sauce
- Half a teaspoon of fish sauce
- One tablespoon of sesame oil

Air fryer kimchi Korean pancakes recipe
The pancakes take just 20 minutes to cook and boasts prebiotic benefits thanks to the addition of kimchi.
Start by washing and chopping all three spring onions, setting one aside for later to sprinkle on top of the finished pancakes.
Then in a medium-sized bowl, combine tow of the onions with the kimchi, one tablespoon of the brine, then add the honey, water and flour.
Grease the air fryer basket with a little cooking oil or line with tin foil or baking parchment, then pour in the batter to fill the basket.
Put the baking accessory back into the air fryer and cook for 20 minutes at 180C.
Meanwhile, make a start on the sauce with the peeled and minced garlic cloves. Add it to a small bowl along with the soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil and honey.
Whisk everything together until combined then once the air fryer is done, cut the circular pancake into quarters.
Serve on warmed plates with chopped spring onions and the dipping sauce on the side.
