Air fryer cookies are 'the perfect quick sweet treat' and made with just 3 ingredients
Cookies can be complicated to make from scratch using some recipes, but that's not the case with the help of an air fryer.
Making cookies from scratch is the best way to adjust their flavour and texture, but they can be time-consuming to make.
But with the help of an air fryer, cookies couldn't be easier to bake - and with just three ingredients.
According to Candice Bannister, founder of Candy's Cupcakes, all you need are some oats, fruit and toppings.
Sharing her recipe exclusively with Express.co.uk, Candice said: "Combining the oats and banana will create a gooey texture for the cookie, with added flavour from the melted chocolate chips, making this simple recipe the perfect quick sweet treat!
"The best thing about this recipe is that you can play with the flavours, why not swap out the chocolate chips for raisins, your favourite chocolate, nuts or raspberries? You can create whatever flavoured cookie you like!"
Ingredients
- Two ripe large bananas

Air fryer cookies recipe
Start with a preheated oven set to 170C, or 150C if using an air fryer. Next, line a baking tray with parchment paper and set aside for later.
Take a large mixing bowl then peel and chop the bananas into small slices, adding them to the bowl.
Mash with a fork until thick yet smooth, then fold in the measured oats and chocolate chips.
Stir everything vigorously together until the mixture resembles a chunky dough with the chocolate evenly distributed throughout.
Portion out the mixture into small balls and flatten them down a little, then place them on the baking tray. If using the air fryer, carefully lower them into the fryer basket with even spacing.
You may need to cook them in batches to avoid the cookies melting into one as the dough spreads out.
Bake until golden brown (around 10 to15 minutes), or adjust the time accordingly.
