Scrappage scheme 2018 - How to get up to £8,000 off a new car from Ford, VW and more
DRIVERS are being encouraged to trade-in their old and more polluting car for a monetary incentive off a new lower emissions model. Here’s what manufacturers are offering deals and how much you could save.
Diesel car scrappage schemes: The deals still running
Scrappage schemes were announced by the majority of car manufacturers in the UK in 2017.
The iniatives offered drivers a cash incentive towards a new car if they trade in their older more polluting vehicle.
In addition to reducing older cars off the road in the UK, the schemes were also introduced to improve sales.
While a number of carmakers have ended their discount schemes there are a number still open, but only until the end of the month.
Here are the manufacturers still offering scrappage scheme discounts:

Manufacturers have a number of trade-in requirements which driver’s cars must qualify for to be applicable to receive the discount.
Each car maker has differing requirements for which fuel type, how ling the driver has opened their car for and when the vehicle was first registered.
