Car dealer shares tips for Audi A1 owners
Audi drivers have been left stunned after a car dealership showed off secret hacks almost all owners can take advantage of.
TikTok channel @soprettycars showed off what buttons located on the car dashboard are really used for, surprising many who own cars from the German marque.
One of the standout tips was a button which deactivates the car alarm when pets are left inside.
Other suggestions backed by road users include updating the sat nav with the latest information and a fuel cap tip to help motorists at petrol stations.
Speaking on their TikTok account @soprettycars said: “Things to know about your Audi A1. Press and hold the lock button to close windows and unlock to open.
“The car has to be unlocked to open the petrol cap. Place cap here to avoid scratching paint.”
Viewer @honsmith reacted: “Found that out when I was trying to open my fuel cap in Tesco.”
@soprettycars quickly zoomed in on the car’s dashboard, showing how motorists can quickly activate their important fog lights.
They added: “Pull out once for front fog lights twice for rear. Tilt rear-view mirror."
The video also showed how drivers can pop their boot and open their bonnet using simple switches inside the vehicle.

They also showed off a Sat Nav SD card portal where motorists can update their maps to receive the latest information.
However, viewers quickly suggested this would come at a cost and may even set some road users back hundreds of pounds.
TikTok viewer: @lucy_jane_55 explained: “I tried to get one for my A1 … so if it’s not installed with the SD card they are about £600 from Audi to get installed and to get the card.”
@esmepeace2 added: “That’s so annoying!! I got my car through a different company than Audi, they sent me the SD but £600 is just stupid!!!! I’ll keep using my phone lol.”
@soprettycars then showed off how to open the Audi’s sunroof by pressing a button located above the drivers' head.
They also showed off the location of the “hidden warning triangle” located in a secret compartment in the boot. This is a vital safety tool and warns road users of upcoming hazards when a vehicle has broken down.
Finally, the dealership showed off the Audi’s child lock safety buttons and a secret tip for those with pets. Deactivating a switch located inside the vehicle will prevent an alarm from sounding when a dog has been left inside the car.
@soprettycars added: “This button stops the alarm going off, perfect for doggos in the car (which we DO NOT recommend).”
TikTok fan @annalea_rose4 said: “Omg the alarm thing! Brilliant so we can lock it!!! I always drop him off at my nan's before I nip the shops.”
