England women's football team (Lionesses)
The Lionesses are the England women's senior national football team. Formed in 1972, they won their first major tournament at Euro 2022 under Sarina Wiegman, beating Germany in the final at Wembley.
Wiegman remains the current manager ahead of Euro 2025 as the Lionesses look to defend their title. The team were the runners-up at the 2023 Women's World Cup.
Ellen White is the Lionesses' all-time top goalscorer with 52 goals while Fara Williams has the most caps with an incredible 172 appearances for her country.
