Lot is riding on Ladbrokes' new boss
LADBROKES is backing digital boss Jim Mullen to transform the company's fortunes as he becomes the bookmaker's new chief executive.

But the 44-year-old Glaswegian will be paid less than predecessor Richard Glynn.

His departure announced last December followed a string of profit warnings as Ladbrokes struggled with the shift from betting shops to online gambling.
Mullen, who joined Ladbrokes in November 2013 from William Hill, will collect close to £2.5million. Glynn picked up £4.7million in pay and bonuses in 2013.
Ladbrokes chairman Peter Erskine said: "Jim faced tough competition but was our unanimous choice."
