Retail stores are cleared of bra price-fixing allegations
THE Competition and Markets Authority has closed its investigation into allegations of price-fixing involving a sports bra maker and three retailers.
The CMA said there were no grounds for action after investigating Debenhams, House of Fraser and John Lewis, along with French-owned DBApparel UK, which makes the Wonderbra and Playtex brands.
John Lewis said: “We did not recognise any of the original allegations.”
House of Fraser said it was confident it had been operating “within all laws and regulations”.
