Patisserie Valerie aims for getting on stock market's menu
PREMIUM cafe chain Patisserie Valerie has expansion on the menu after joining the rush of firms seeking to list on the London Stock Exchange.
Owner Patisserie Holdings is expected to be valued at £170million and generate £30million to repay debts when it joins the junior AIM market.
It houses four other brands – Druckers, Baker & Spice, Flour Power City Bakery and Philpotts – and operates 138 stores.
Chief executive Paul May expects to grow online sales by 20 per cent a year. They currently represent £2million revenues out of group sales of £12million.
Patisserie Valerie has identified 250 potential new high street sites in the UK. May said: “At the minimum, we’re planning on opening circa 20 new stores a year.”
