MOTORISTS around the world are snapping up British-built Mini cars, helping German parent company BMW rack up record sales last month.
Mini sold 18,671 cars in August, a rise of 18.5 per cent, as sales in the US nearly doubled, while China saw sales
up by two-thirds and UK sales rose by a quarter.
Overall sales at the Germanowned group rose by nearly 10 per cent to 110,903 vehicles.
