Education arm boosts Pearson
DEMAND for textbooks and testing services at its education business has underpinned growth at media group Pearson.
Total revenues rose by seven per cent to £1.08billion in the first three months of the year.

Pearson said its US schools curriculum business had returned to growth, while its North American higher education arm turned in a strong performance.
Book division Penguin made a positive start to the year, with good demand for eBooks, and has a fine line-up of releases by writers including Jamie Oliver, Stephen Fry and Tom Clancy.
