Following last week’s horrific suicide bombing of Manchester Arena, which claimed 22 innocent lives, the Oasis front-man announced his first solo tour show would be in aid of the victims’ families.
Performing a set list of songs from his debut solo album, the singer told the sold-out Manchester Ritz venue: “Normal service has resumed.”
Liam also applauded when the crowd chanted “stand up for the 22”, referencing those who lost their lives in the explosion.
Having teased a big surprise, the 44-year-old invited former Oasis guitarist Paul “Bonehead” Arthurs for a rendition of Be Here Now in front of 22 candles.

It may not have been the Oasis reunion with Noel some fans had been waiting for, especially after Liam publicly reached out to his brother on his 50th birthday, but it was still a pleasant surprise for those attending.
After finishing his 14-song set with Oasis’ Love Forever, Liam said: “Manchester, I love you. Look after yourselves.”
Liam’s gig isn’t the only concert going on to raise money, with news of Ariana Grande’s charity show announced yesterday.

The singer, who was performing in Manchester Arena the night of the blast, will be joined by Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Usher, Take That, Niall Horan, and others at Old Trafford cricket ground this weekend.
All proceeds will go to the We Love Manchester emergency fund, which was set up by the Manchester City Council in partnership with the British Red Cross, in aid of grieving families and victims.
