OASIS fans are hopeful of a reunion for Liam and Noel Gallagher after the former reached out to his brother on Twitter.

It’s Noel’s 50th birthday, and Liam - who has been quarrelling with him for years - sent an unexpected supportive message.
“Happy 50th rkid stay young LG x,” he wrote.
The post was retweeted over 7,000 times and liked 19,000 times within just a few hours.
Noel himself has not responded, although his team uploaded a photo with the caption: “Happy 50th Birthday Noel!”

Liam is set to play the O2 Ritz tomorrow with his first ever solo show, with all proceeds going to the Manchester Evening News’s fundraising appeal for the victims of Monday’s terror attack at the Manchester arena.

The show was announced last week and sold out within minutes. He told MEN: "I want to try and help pick people up.
“People like me, doing what we do, it's our duty to give people a good time."
Of the attack, he said: "It's outrageous. Just so sad. What can you do?
“It's just f****** out of order. There are kids and people dying all over the world. And for what?"
