Ed Sheeran announces he'll headline Glastonbury 2017
The British superstar has finally admitted what everyone was already thinking.
Sheeran posted a quick video on Social Media announcing the fantastic news.
He said: "Hello from Turin We're here I'm starting the tour off today and I want to make an announcement. I am headlining Glastonbury on the Sunday night. Which is awesome."
He even included a handy image of grazing cows to clarify his attendance at Worthy Farm.
Ed Sheeran will headline Glastonbury
Earlier this month, the festival organisers were forced to categorically deny leaked line-up information that included Sheeran.
Emily Eavis tweeted: "Don't believe everything you read, our line up has not been leaked. The actual line up will be with you soon! #fakenews."
Sheeran will presumably be headlining the main slot on the Pyramid stage on the closing night of this year's festival, Sunday, June 25.
Sheeran's appearance at this year's festival will be one of the highlights of another incredible year for the singer after his third album Divide continues to smash chart records.
He won't just divide, he will also conquer Westeros as Sheeran has been confirmed for a cameo in the new season of Game of Thrones.
In fact, the singer can't stop hitting the headlines, even if one recent story hit a 'bum' note when it went viral for an extremely filthy reason.
Ed Sheeran will headline the Glastonbury Pyramid Stage
This will be the final Glastonbury Festival at Worthy Farm before it takes a three-year break.
Founder Michael Eavis revealed that they will take a break in 2018 before moving to a temporary site in 2019 for a spin-off event that will happen every five years.
He told confused fans the new event would also have a new name: “The Glastonbury Festival team presents The Variety Bazaar. That’s a good name don’t you think?”
