BRIT Awards 2017: Chris Martin slammed for George Michael tribute
BRIT AWARDS 2017 viewers were teary-eyed tonight when George Michael was honoured with a performance from Coldplay’s Chris Martin - but it certainly wasn’t without its very vocal critics.

The singer took to the stage to sing a stripped-back rendition of A Different Corner.
To pack an extra emotional punch, George’s own previous vocals were played alongside Chris’s.
The segment even featured a nod to Prince, who sadly also lost his life in 2016.
Unfortunately the performance was as slammed as it was lauded.

The performance followed a touching spoken tribute from Wham! bandmates
“sorry he has ruined that song!” one person raged on Twitter.
“Would have preferred to just hear George's voice,” someone else added.
A third commented: “OMG Chris Martin what a mess you made of that fantastic song. It showed in your face. Bad choice.”
“Chris Martin found seriously wanting in the singing department (again),” read an another post.
George Michael died on Christmas Day 2016
There was praise, however, with one person beaming: “No words....just BRILLIANT! Thank you! Had us in tears!”
“omg I'm in tears… brilliant and so moving r.i.p George you legend,” hailed someone else.
Yesterday it was reported that Nile Rodgers had a collaboration with George Michael ready to show him at the time of his death.
