Lana Del Rey has cancelled her upcoming concerts in the UK and Europe due to illness. In a statement, the singer said: “Sorry to let everyone down so last minute but this illness has taken me by surprise and have totally lost my singing voice. Dr has advised four weeks off for the moment.
“I hate to let everyone down but I need to get well,” she added.
For refunds, customers are advised to contact their original point of purchase.
Lana was due to play London’s O2 on Tuesday, but the venue tweeted the cancellation announcement this morning.
They also encouraged ticket holders to contact their original point of purchase in order to obtain refunds.
Those who bought tickets via Ticketmaster or See Tickets are advised to contact them via email or social media for more information.
The tour was set to launch in Amsterdam tomorrow, with another European appearance in Paris on Sunday.
Lana was then due to bring the live show to London before heading to Manchester, Glasgow and Birmingham throughout next week.
She had concerts booked in Berlin and Cologne on March 2 and 3 respectively.
The UK concerts were sold out and would have been her first headline UK dates since she headlined Latitude last year.
She released her sixth album Norman F***ing Rockwell! Last summer, featuring singles Mariners Apartment Complex and Venice B***h.
The album received an Album of the Year nomination at the Grammys and a Song of the Year nod for the title track.
At the weekend, Lana won Best Album in The World at the NME Awards and gave an acceptance speech via video.
