Nintendo Switch games list has a new MEGA-HIT - and not even Crash Bandicoot can stop it
NINTENDO has reason to celebrate, as not even Crash Bandicoot can stop the momentum of the Switch and its bumper games list.
Nintendo Switch game Splatoon 2 is a big hit
Nintendo has got another hit on its hands, as Nintendo Switch exclusive Splatoon 2 tops the sales charts for July.
The Nintendo Switch exclusive is so popular that it even outperformed the hugely popular Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy.
That's according to figures obtained by analyst group NPD, which measures how much money a game makes in a calendar month.
Splatoon 2's performance is particularly impressive, because while it costs more than Crash Bandicoot at retail, NPD doesn't factor in Switch eShop sales, but it does measure PSN downloads.

It may be a different story outside the US, where there appears to be no stopping Crash Bandicoot N Sane Trilogy.
The PS4 bundle has topped the UK all-format sales charts for weeks, fending off competition from the likes of Splatoon 2.
Nintendo will also be happy with the performance of other Switch exclusives in July.
Splatoon 2 is joined by Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and ARMS in the top 20.
GTA 5 is still holding strong, while Final Fantasy XII also makes an appearance near the top.

Splatoon returns with new maps and weapons, a brand new wave-based survival mode called Salmon Run and the classic Turf War competition where the aim is to cover arenas with as much paint as possible.
That's on top of a more in-depth story mode that's packed with new moves and techniques, bigger bosses and even more objectives.
Fans can also take part in regular Splatfest events, where players pick sides and fight for the honour of things like cats, dogs, mayonnaise and ketchup.
The next Spatfest takes place at the start of September, and asks players to choose between the power of flight or invisibility.
