Xbox One X: Introducing the brand new console
Xbox One X and Playstation 4 Pro will clash for the title of the ultimate gaming console as gamers gear up to preorder the new Microsoft device.
But which one of the two devices is indeed the ultimate gaming system, and which one should you buy?
Here is a breakdown of the specs list for the Xbox One X and the Playstation 4 Pro.
Xbox One X – £449/$499
Microsoft unveiled the Xbox One X during its E3 expo keynote in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The company is boasting that the machine is the most powerful console on the market, capable of true 4K performance.
Ahead of its November 7 release, Microsoft promised that the next-gen console is more powerful than the PS4 while also being the “smallest Xbox ever”.
The machine will come with a ton of firepower under its hood and what Microsoft is calling “super sampling” for better 1080p performance – meaning you will not need a 4K TV to take advantage of the new graphics.
Performance will also be boosted with the help of a brand new internal liquid-cooled vapour-chamber, based on PC GPU’s.

The Xbox announcement however fell a bit short with its exclusives, with Forza Motorsport 7 being the only major title coming to the console.
Playstation 4 Pro – £350/$399
Sony’s Playstation 4 Pro is the company’s flagship console that came out in November 2016.
The PS4 Pro boasts twice the GPU power of the Playstation 4 and has full Playstation VR support – something that could be a deal breaker for many, with titles such as Skyrim, Fallout and Doom coming to the virtual reality platform.
But the console still has a weaker CPU than its new competitor and anyone who wants to experience Playstation VR will have to take into account the £340 headset price tag.
