Nintendo Switch NEWS: Next eShop game exposes console's BIGGEST problem
NINTENDO Switch owners will need to invest extra cash to overcome a problem highlighted by this new eShop game.
NBA Playgrounds on Nintendo Switch
Nintendo Switch is getting a brand new eShop game next week, as NBA Playgrounds gets a surprise release date.
Reminiscent of the NBA Jam games, NBA Playgrounds is an over-the-top basketball release for Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One and PC.
The 2-v-2 basketball game features 30 NBA teams, current and retired players, local and online multiplayer.
This includes LeBron James, Karl Malone, Magic Johnson, Scottie Pippen and Shaquille O'Neal.
The only problem, however, is that the 7.4GB game is available from the Nintendo eShop and won't be released at retail.
This means it will take up a big part of the console's 32GB of storage space, so you might want to invest in an SD card.
NBA Playgrounds also features a progression system that lets you unlock new moves for each player.
This presumably means new dribble moves and dunks, which was always a big selling point of the NBA Jam games.
Other features include a Lottery Pick System in which players earn "unique rewards" through great play.
In addition to the current and retired roster of players, the developer has promised to add more as post-release DLC.

After a relatively barren few months of game releases, the Nintendo Switch games list is starting to shape up.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe recently made its debut on Nintendo Switch, alongside PuyoPuyo Tetris and LEGO City Undercover.
Minecraft will make its Nintendo Switch debut next week, while Ultra Street Fighter 2: The Final Challengers launches later this month.
Then there are the reports that Nintendo and Ubisoft will announce a new Mario and Rabbids crossover at the E3 Gaming Expo.
Mario + Rabbids Kingdom is said to have an August/September release date for Nintendo Switch.
