Rocket League - New free Dropshot mode coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC next week
ROCKET League fans will get a brand new free mode next week.
Rocket League players will get a free mode called Dropshot next week
Rocket League developer Psyonix has announced the brand new Dropshot mode will be released on March 22 - and it is FREE to download.
The brand new mode is a distinct take on volleyball, where players have to destroy floor panels on the opposing team's side.
The panels can be destroyed by drop-shotting into the opponent's area an electrified ball that gets stronger the more it's hit.
The Dropshot mode takes place in a hexagon shaped arena called Core 707, which has panels that are broken after two successful drop shots.
Rocket League developers Psyonix said the new mode is all about damage - so Damage will be a brand new stat alongside Goals, Assists, and Saves.
The more damage a player inflicts, the more floor panels break and the easier it is to score a goal.
On the official Rocket League website, Psyonix said: "The new ball has three different phases, each more powerful than the last, that determine how much damage is done when the ball smashes into the floor panels.
"The second and third phases are activated by multiple Battle-Car hits, so the longer the ball stays off the ground, the more powerful it becomes.
"While the first phase of the new ball only damages one tile upon impact, the second and third phases can damage up to seven and 19 panels, respectively."
Rocket League's free Dropshot mode will be available to download on March 22
