343 Industries announced the Halo 5 update news on Twitter, revealing that nine new Breakout maps could now be played.
The new levels have all been community-voted and aren’t the only changes implemented by developers.
The new update also removed the Arena Breakout gametype from the Team Arena playlist as part of feedback received from fans.
The decision has reduced the Team Arena playlist to include Slayer, CTF, and Strongholds, although Arena Breakout could be brought back in the future.

The Halo 5 development team didn’t reveal the specific feedback received from fans on Breakout, although they did share what players thought on other game subjects, including changes in Warzone.
“The various teams here at 343 have been monitoring your feedback, as well as carefully studying a variety of match data, and after this evaluation have decided to lower the cost of a small set of weapons,” a 343 Industries statement reads.
“The cost of these weapons was a little high, and we want players to be able to use them more often and without breaking the bank.
“Here’s a look at the new lowered weapon costs, which we’ve just released in the wild via a service side update.”
